'Wall Assemblages' by Jessica Bingham featured in our 8TH exhibition.

Jessica Bingham is an American-born artist based in Peoria, Illinois (USA). In 2015, she co-founded Project 1612, a short-term residency and independent artist-run project space at her home in Peoria. Through Project 1612 she has curated over 15 exhibitions from national artists, and recently expanded the project to include works from international artists.

'Wall Assemblages' deals with the bitter-sweet nature of childhood, especially in regard to the act of play. Her mixed-media wall assemblages include elements related to childhood through found, made, and purchased materials, especially mass-produced craft-store supplies. She examines the idea of play through adult eyes in an attempt to preserve and maintain the preciousness of youth.
